Papa and Michael

The other day my dad, Papa Red, stopped by for a few minutes. Michael and I had just gotten home from picking Alex up at work. I really had to chuckle when I saw what my dad was wearing. I helped Michael take off his coat then promptly put him on Papa's lap for a picture.
Overalls and a red shirt, what better outfit could there be?

The Bathroom is FINISHED!

It is a happy day at the Lundquist house. Today the surround for our bathtub was installed. YAY!!! This means that now I can bathe my kids upstairs in our own bathroom. I can take HOT showers and baths in my own bathroom.
We have been sharing a bath/shower with my in-laws. It hasn't been too bad, but the water heater is sporadic on having truly hot water. For me who the answer to any problem is to take a hot bath, this has been a major challenge.
I am so grateful for Alex's job where he got a Christmas bonus that paid to finish the bathroom. What a huge blessing for our family.
22 hours and counting until I can use the bathtub. (The caulking has to dry first).

Once there was a Snowman

Michael has gotten in the habit lately of singing while he is in his car seat. His favorite song is "Once there was a Snowman." He sings the first verse just fine. "Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman. Once there was a snowman tall, tall, tall." It is the second verse that brings a smile to my face. "Once there was a mountain, mountain, mountain. Once there was a mountain small, small, small."
To a three year old's ears I guess melted sounds more like mountain.
